‘White Sands’ is the stunning debut, solo album from multi-talented classical clarinetist Lone Madsen. Released through Perpetuem Records, ‘White Sands’ is a collection of beautifully intimate compositions and arrangements that meld Lone’s exquisite artistry with her passion for seductive melodies, enchanting, contemporary arrangements and innovative classicism. Boasting 13 tracks of original compositions (‘Hypnotic’, ‘Habanera’, 'En Aranjuez con tu amor ', ‘White Sands’, ‘Exotic’ and ‘A Quiet Conversation’) and new arrangements (‘Perpetuem’, ‘Ritual’, ‘Ich Ruf Zu Dir’, ‘Gnossienne’, ‘Nature Boy’, ‘Waltz 2 from Jazz Suite’ and ‘Bailero’), ‘White Sands’ sees Lone realise her long-held ambition to bring her distinctive timbre of the clarinet to a far wider audience.

Success has not come without a lot of hard work. Lone gained a Masters Degree in Music studying under the revered Charles Neidich at the world renowned ‘Juilliard School’ in New York. Since then she has collaborated with composers and artists as diverse as Andrea Bocelli, Milton Babbit, Nora Kroll Rosenbaum, Thomas Adés, Alfred Brendel, Ithzak Perlman and Michael Kamen and has toured globally with acclaimed, former Chanticleer Countertenor Terry Barber. Lone has even enjoyed an acting role as Miss Grey in Ang Lee’s, Oscar-winning film adaptation of ‘Sense & Sensibility’ alongside Emma Thompson.
