“To listen to her music is to be inspired, moved and taken to a better place”
When film director Ang Lee cast her alongside Emma Thompson in Sense And Sensibility, it gave stunning Lone Madsen an envious start to her acting career.
But while she says that experience was 'unforgettable', Lone (pronounced Luna) has abandoned all theatrical ambitions to pursue her greater passion - music.
And it has been a worthwhile switch for clarinettist Madsen, 36, whose debut album White Sands is released this month, for next week she takes to the stage in Mayfair, when guests will include designer Ozwald Boateng and German princeling Alexander Schaumburg-Lippe.
Her most high-profile fan, however, is rock star turned photographer Bryan Adams, who has taken the pictures for her new album cover - including the one published here.
'He had heard some tracks and got in touch to congratulate me,' Denmark-born Lone tells me. 'Then he suddenly offered to take all the photographs for my album pages. I'm so happy I agreed, because he's done fabulous work.'
